Long CV & The Vagus Nerve

Hi,

I got the virus last year in September.

The delta variant…

Now, I’m fairly fit. I run about 70kms a week and eat loads of veggies and try to look after myself the best I can…

The reason I share this with you is because I got cv so very bad.

[Forgive me please, I can’t say the actual name of the virus otherwise you may not actual see this email (and I’m hoping as many people as possible can see this because long cv was worse then the first bit!)…]

I was really lucky and was able to get monoclonal antibodies and really good treatment and made it through the worst of it within about 6 days…

But then the fatigue and fogginess didn’t leave…

It’d been about a week and I told my husband that I still didn’t feel 100%.

Of course I jumped on Google trying to figure out if I still has the rona, only to read pages and pages about this thing called “long sars”.

I’m busy, I have two school children who are busy with sport and I needed to get on with my life. I didn’t have time to be so tired… I had work to do.

But my body was saying something different.

I decided to ring Tiaan and ask if she could help me. Honestly, long cv felt a lot like all my hormone imbalances had come back with a vengeance.

Thankfully, she knew exactly what to do and I overcame it within about two weeks…

We have patients who have waited to come in for 3-6 months!

The reason I share this with you is because there was a really interesting clinical study that only just came out. The Jerusalem Post, of all places went through a special patient study from the University of Baradala in Spain, researching nearly 300 patients suffering from symptoms after recovering from the virus.

My sister and her friends were comparing their post-Omnicron symptoms, and it was interesting to hear the key symptoms they were experiencing in correlation to the percentage of people here experiencing:

  1. Diarrhoea
  2. Fatigue
  3. Brain Fog
  4. Low Blood Pressure
  5. Heart Palpitations
  6. Breathlessness
  7. Aches & Pains

The study found that the reason for the “LONG Rona” symptoms is that virus actually disrupts the vagus nerves which in turn causes a PTSD-style moment for the digestive track and organs associated with the communication of the vagus nerve in the body, stating

“a mediated vagus nerve dysfunction could be responsible for long cv.”

Now, I never even heard of the vagus nerve being effected other than when people were really sick, so immediately, the researcher in me wanted to understand how Tiaan had helped me get through long cv so fast.

Here’s what I found that I think is worth sharing from this study…

“The vagus nerve is the 10th cranial nerve and is the longest and most complex of all of them. It runs from the brain throughout the entirety of the face and chest, reaching the abdomen. The vagus nerve serves as the main connection between the brain and the gastrointestinal tract, sending back information about the state of the inner organs.

In 27% of patients, there were visible changes in the vagus nerve in the neck, which could be seen in ultrasounds, including thickening and the indication of mild inflammatory reactive changes.

72% of the studied patients suffered from digestive challenges!”

I personally like to have some answers. And after going to my doctor to hear that it may take me four weeks to six months before I start feeling like my old self again, I knew that there had to be a natural solution to the problem.

More than anything, it is nice to see that I wasn’t an anomaly or part of a small percentage of people that had the long SARs symptoms. It’s actually way more common than many people realise.

I also feel like the study solidified why no amount of caffeine was helping with the “Long CV” brain fog and fatigue…

Tiaan helped me restore my gut flora which kicked me out the weird IBS symptoms (as did many of my family members), and helped me get my energy, focus, and mental clarity back.

Tiaan and her team knew how to treat my digestive and nervous system. It went well and truly past any hormonal challenges I’ve had in the past.

I thought it would be really good to share with you today because this new data is coming out that I didn’t have access to – back in September last year! And may help you “connect to dots” if you still aren’t quite feeling right post-cv.

We have had hundreds of patients that wait weeks or months to get help because they get passed off as things being “in their head” or “it just takes time”, but for me it was that I needed to fill my tank back up with the fuel the virus took with it.

Going to see Tiaan’s team is like getting an energy injection :).

All in all, it took me about 3 weeks to start to get back to me again.

If you want to read the full study from the Jerusalem Post, you can read and share it here: https://www.jpost.com/health-and-wellness/article-696452

And if you want to connect with Tiaan directly to see what you need to do to start feeling like you again, I’ve asked her to personally jump on calls this week! You can organise a Free Phone Consultation with her here: https://calendly.com/tiaan-booking-calendar/free-introductory-consultation

I hope this has been helpful for you and your family.

Thank you,
