Two big things have been on my mind lately, and I feel compelled to share them with you today.
First, as women go through their 40s, 50s, and 60s — hormones are supposed to change, but symptoms are signals that your body needs help. Your blood work holds so many answers, even when it comes back “normal.”
Second, many of our patients struggling with “peri-menopause,” “menopause,” or “hypothyroid” have actually had Hashimoto’s and either didn’t know it — or had a diagnosis and didn’t know what to do about it.
We have a lot of new content to share in the coming weeks, but before we get there, we encourage you to watch one or both of these webcasts:
Why it’s not about the menopause label.
The answers women need to feel and look their best aren’t found in hormones alone, but in what’s happening around them.
Fatigue, brain fog, forgetfulness, low mood, breathlessness, heart palpitations or tachycardia, dull headaches.
Just 3 of these symptoms merit investigation into thyroid dysfunction, especially Hashimoto’s.
Normal blood work is common. TSH is within range. Nothing appears too concerning — until thyroid antibodies are tested.
This is one of the most important webcasts Tiaan has done. We’ve helped thousands of women put Hashimoto’s into remission, from ages 25 to 63.
Tiaan walks you through the triggers, the pathology to watch for, the main causes, and what you can do to investigate whether something more is going on.
We hope you get a lot of value out of these webcasts! They both set the foundation for the new education we’re rolling out over the coming weeks.
Have a great rest of your weekend.
Warmly,
Carrie
